High street nail varnish review// a little piece of beauty heaven

Today I thought I'd share some of my favourite nail varnishes from the High Street. I have found myself buying more nail varnishes than ever recently, I just can't help myself.  I have abit of an addiction to them and I am not afraid to admit it!!

No Tan Lines Here

Apart from the really cute names what can I say about these nail varnishes?! Well first off the 60 seconds nail varnishes are very quick drying and non gloopy to apply. I would debate whether they take less than 60 seconds however regardless they do dry faster than other drug store nail varnishes. My favourite colour from this range has to be Mary Mary Quite Contrary which is a gorgeous pale grey colour- I know I will be getting a lot of wear from this during the autumn/winter months. The other formula is again really easy to apply and I find the Double Decker Red only requires one coat. However I'm not sure I agree that his is any longer lasting than the 60 seconds.  These shades are so summery and I have loved wearing the bright orange on my toes during a recent holiday.

Mademoiselle
Lacquered up

OMG these two nail varnishes have officially turned me into an Essie convert.  The formula is great and mademoiselle may be my favourite nail varnish to date. It is a gorgeous sheer nude that can be built up... But it is just perfect for an everyday classy looking nail. I adore this and I know as soon as I run out it will definitely be on my shopping list again. Lacquered up is another beautiful colour in a bright red hue, this looks seriously stunning on the nails. Love this brand. If you haven't tried an Essie nail polish you don't know what you are missing.

Mauve along

Beautiful formula. Beautiful nudes. These nail varnishes are great and they really do live up to their name which claims a "complete salon manicure". Whenever I wear either of these colours I get compliments as they go on so nicely. Definitely a staple in my nail varnish collection.

Nude Rose
Hot Salsa

These are the newest addition to my collection and so far so fantastic. The colours in this range are all so pretty and having worn hot salsa for 9 days without a chip I am most impressed. I will definitely be buying more from this range. I thoroughly suggest you check out the range if you don't have the time to repaint your nails every couple of days or can't afford a salon manicure.

Despite initially not getting along with the gelly finish Barry M nail polishes I have grown to love them. Some of the lighter colours e.g. Lychee I find hard to apply as the finish seems to be streaky, however with patience and persistence I can get over this as the end product is lovely. The colour selection from Barry M is exceptional... If you are looking for an on trend colour the chances are you will find it in this brand. My personal favourites are sugar apple which is a gorgeous pastel green colour and passion fruit which is a reddy orange and looks amazing with a tan.

So there you have it folks, a few of my favourite nail varnishes from the highstreet. Being the nail junkie that I am I am sure it won't be long until a new brand or style of polish catches my eye.

Bye for now
Danielle
